    A Message from Helen
Kindness as a way of life

    SPORTS IN EVERYDAY LIFE

Practising sports daily, or at least few times a week,
contributes to your wellbeing, physically and mentally.
It builds your body; it improves cognitive abilities and has a huge positive effect on our mood.

This is a well-known reality, backed up with research and numerous scientific studies.
Now, how do we implement this in practice in our daily life? How do we educate our children and help them adopt health habits that will stay with them for life?

How do we effect our communities to become more active, so to create a viral effect and change people’s lives?

Let us start with ourselves- teachers, students and parents, and everyone in our community- join the Helen Doron Olympiad- where everyone is a winner!

    ACADEMIC BACKUP

All Helen Doron programmes include movement as an essential part of the method.

The contribution of practicing sports is backed by many scientific studies, some examples below:

    • Children should devote at least 60 min a day to physical
      activity.“
    • Exercise capacity and cognitive functions such as working
memory, episodic memory, sustained attention and
processing speed were all associated with better performance
      in mathematics and reading comprehension.”
    • Enhances self-esteem. Activity promotes health and well
being and supports feelings of self-confidence3
    • The Benefit of Exercise on your Kids Brain
    • Exercise Boosts Kids’ Brain Health, Too
    • Exercise Makes Kids’ Brains More Efficient

    VALUES FOR LIFE

“Helen Doron Olympiad – Young Heroes on the Move!“ campaign once again delivers the message of quality, adding to the holistic approach to children’ education.

Here is where our strength in providing “More than English”
    is demonstrated.

Here are some examples of values associated with “Sport”
    as a key value:

    • healthy body , healthy mind
    • Everyone can practice sports – empower all children
    • Bring families together through fun sports activity
    • Build a strong team
    • Empowering achievement and fulfilling dreams
