Helen Doron English Algeciras and Helen Doron English Los Barrios decided to organize a special event joining all of our students to promote a healthy lifestyle and habits. We collaborated with Algeciras Tennis Club where a tennis coach gave us some tips on how to improve our tennis skills.

Students from Helen Doron schools Mostar and Široki Brijeg gathered on May 25, 2024. in Goranci Park to compete in several sports disciplines and socialize with their peers and parents. A beautiful environment, a large number of children and interesting activities made this day special for all of them.

Short Description: Helen Doron English Stari Grad from Sarajevo decided to organize a family day with our students and parents, where we would promote our Young Hero values- such as Healthy body= healthy mind and balanced and healthy nutrition. We had done this in collaboration with JU'Centar za sportsku rekreaciju' and their amazing physical education professors. With the younger children we had many activities in the gym with well-planned routines, obstacles etc. Not only did the children do it, but also every parent needed to participate and set an example for their children.

Family Day/ Young Heroes Campaign 2024 We immensely enjoyed spending time with our students and their families during this campaign! Young Heroes brought out the best in us. We enjoyed playing games with our youngest students. Our older students showed off their volleyball and basketball skills. Parents eagerly participated in the games with their children, celebrating their victories together. Our students promoted healthy lifestyles munching on apples and bananas. The crown event was our Banana Relay Race. Banana Race could become our annual event!

Our Young Heroes on the Move campaign aimed to inspire students through the power of dance. We encouraged our students to embrace dancing by teaching them the official campaign song and dance, in partnership with Ana Dance school. Over 200 kids and teachers joined in the fun and learning. The highlight of our project was a spectacular Flashmob held in Veranda Mall, which showcased the students' hard work and dedication, spreading joy and enthusiasm throughout the community. This event not only promoted physical activity and creativity, but also fostered a sense of unity and collaboration among the young participants.

Our project started at the bus stop. The teachers of our centre decided to make a change by showing not only our Helen Doron students, but also the citizens of our village the potential of kinaesthetic group games and the importance of time spent outside. We taught our students and their parents how to prepare healthy snacks of other cultures and the project resulted in all generations of citizens of our village participating in a local running race with about 200 kids and 200 adults involved. We united multiple generations in small activities and events with far-reaching impact.

Project is about discussing moving is an important part of lives with all ages in 3 kindergartens, 3 schools, LC during teaching YH lessons what made 762+ active child participants included in the project. We made it special by involving kids in all ages and all conditions. HD Nitra team of lectors, teen students and Kangi made a special sport event for mentally disabled kids with amazing results of JOY and MOVE without hesitation in English. All kids were appraised by memo we created and healthy snacks. Let's continue during 1.June celebration, summer camps and following year. MOVE MOVE MOVE

Our school recently hosted a dynamic three-day project dedicated to promoting sports and healthy living among children and their families. The event featured a variety of engaging activities, including swimming sessions in the Olympic pool, volleyball practice, and athletics training, all guided by experienced coaches. Families participated enthusiastically, creating a vibrant community atmosphere, and strengthening family bonds through shared experiences.

In Ivano-Frankivsk (Ukraine), together with the local running club Gutsul Running Club Juniors, we held athletics competitions for children. About 300 children from different regions of Ukraine participated in races at various distances. We announced our event on local radio and invited television journalists to the competition.Teachers at the learning center held thematic sessions to encourage children to lead an active lifestyle. Our leader, Tetiana Hutsul, ran the Tokyo Marathon in support of the campaign to show how important sports are for learning and a successful future!

Twenty Helen Doron Learning Centres from Zagreb and the surrounding areas came together on April 27th for the much-anticipated Helen Doron Champions race at Savski nasip. With the support of 15 sponsors, over 400 excited students participated in this wonderful event, promoting mental and physical health while fostering a sense of togetherness and community among the children.
